Gran Turismo 4 (GT4) Car Setups

All-Wheel Drive Advocate takes into account every cars own special dynamics to provide the best possible setup. Though GT4 is just a game, AWD Advocate attempts to make somewhat realistic adjustments to the cars power, weight, and suspension. What this means about our cars is they are not meant to be as fast as possible, they are meant to be as competitive as possible. In the past every car was a stripped out racer, and some of the setups were more crude. Now our new setups are much more refined, and AWDA tries to make the setups as cheap as possible. The cars are meant to be track day cars that still have all the comforts of the stock model (thought the suspension may be uncomfortably stiff). The setups are tested on several circuits to make sure they handle well on all tracks and not just the one track it was first setup on. If the setup was intended for a specific race, the car will be tested on those tracks. B-Spec is also used as a sort of independent 3rd party that can return unbiased times. Setups are also post-reviewed. Occasionally a setup will be chosen randomly and tested again to see if any further improvements can be made. If any major changes are made they will be shown as "(update)" for a full month and listed in the monthly AWDA News.

Things to know:
  • I usually drive with a Logitech force feedback wheel, G25 or Driving Force GT, but not always. The setups may handle better with the wheel.
  • These setups are designed for use without driver aids.
  • Some of the older setups say "Double Clutch" which was supposed to be twin-plate clutch, but I'm too lazy to fix them all.
  • I buy as many parts as possible from HKS.
  • All costs are listed by their values on the American version of GT4.
